Through the months of July and August, Goldfinch Tavern and Four Seasons Hotel is partnering with Patron Silver for a special margarita recipe contest. Mix maven, Tara McLaughlin has created La Casa Azul inspired by Friday Kahlo's blue house in Mexico City. While the cocktail is not blue in color, the name hints to the blue agave used to make Patron. Tara gave her margarita a seasonal twist by incorporating Pacific Northwest blackberries and the pile of crushed ice screams summer!

RECIPE

"La Casa Azul"
1.5 oz. Patron silver
.5 oz. orgeat
.5 oz. pineapple
.75 oz. lime juice
.5 oz. creme de mure

Add creme de mure to a rocks glass and pile with crushed ice. Shake all other ingredients and pour over ice. Top with more crushed ice and garnish with two blackberries and a lime wheel.
